Super Expo presents Prototype - a visual/interactive/sound experience via a large-format projection with accompanying sound track. As a platform, Prototype enables a collective of artists to cross-pollinate, interact and explore the possibilities of live-action video projections and audio. Prototype believes in the power of innovation and the need for inspiration. Through its aesthetic and integrity, Prototype supports the creation of a new standard for seeing the possibilities that the future may hold.

Part jam session, part tennis match

Possible scenario: As a live performer is filmed in front of a green screen, this feed is overlaid onto a background video feed. The video artist processes and shapes the delivery of this visual while the typographer transmits words based on what is transpiring. The designer provides additional graphic information while the musician creates a sound track. Viewers will have an opportunity to further enhance the experience by their own participation at the site.

The program

Each member of the creative collective will be stationed on-site, communicating and interacting with one another by viewing on monitors what each is creating. The result of the convergence is collected and transmitted to a hub and then projected onto an exterior wall with a soundtrack. With the potential for interactivity, attendees have the opportunity to participate in the performance during the event.
